VACANCY: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Location: Harare

A leading shopfitting and interior fit-out company is looking for a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates and quotations.
  • Measure quantities from drawings and on-site.
  • Prepare tender documents and analyse quotations.
  • Manage project costs, budgets and variations.
  • Procure materials and liaise with suppliers.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, measure completed works and prepare valuations.
  • Work closely with project managers, site supervisors and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Prepare project reports and final accounts.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in shopfitting, interior fit-out or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of aluminium profiles, glass, ceilings, partitions, joinery and related finishing works will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings.
  • Must be willing to work both in the office and on project sites.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
  • Valid Class 4 driver's licence is an added advantage.
