VACANCIES – ELECTROMECHANICAL & AUTOMATION ENGINEERS

Location: Darwendale, Zimbabwe

Industry: Chrome Mining & Mineral Processing

INTRODUCTION

MOUNT PACK INVESTMENTS (PVT) LTD, a company involved in chrome mining and mineral-processing operations in Darwendale, is seeking suitably qualified and experienced engineering professionals to join its technical team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, operate and maintain electromechanical mining and processing equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electromechanical faults.

Maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, crushers, screens, compressors and related equipment.

Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.

Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential failures.

Support installation and commissioning of new mining and processing machinery.

Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams and equipment manuals.

Coordinate mechanical and electrical maintenance teams.

Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians and local engineering personnel.

Maintain equipment maintenance records and technical reports.

Promote safe and efficient operation of mining equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Relevant industrial, mining or mineral-processing experience will be an advantage.

Practical experience with industrial machinery, motors, pumps, conveyors and automated equipment.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work in a demanding mining environment.

Good technical documentation and problem-solving skills.
