BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Advisory | Harare, Zimbabwe | Full-time | Business Development Team

GGF AFRICA is growing its advisory pipeline and regional footprint. This is where new mandates begin.

GGF AFRICA is a multidisciplinary advisory firm delivering Management Consulting, Corporate Finance & Transaction Advisory, Infrastructure & PPP Advisory and Corporate Restructuring across Zimbabwe and Africa. We are looking for a commercially minded Business Development Associate to identify, develop and convert new opportunities, from identifying the opportunity to contributing to winning the mandate.

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Opportunity Identification & Prospecting: research clients, projects, tenders and transactions; build target lists and support outreach.
  • Market Intelligence: track economic, sector and procurement developments and turn them into actionable opportunities.
  • Proposal & BD Coordination: prepare EOIs, proposals, pitch decks and tenders, coordinating inputs from technical teams.
  • Client & Relationship Management: support meetings, presentations and follow-ups; spot opportunities for additional GGF AFRICA services.
  • Pipeline & Reporting: keep the pipeline accurate; track leads, engagements, proposals and mandates won.
  • Partnerships & Market Presence: research strategic partners and support conferences, roadshows and networking.

Qualifications and Experience

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Qualifications: a relevant first degree from a recognised institution.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in consulting, banking, corporate finance, investment, professional services, research, sales or BD; transaction advisory, PPP or development finance exposure is a plus.
  • Analytical: strong research skills and a good grasp of financial and commercial concepts.
  • Communicator: excellent writing and presentation skills; confident with senior stakeholders.
  • Organised: manages multiple deadlines with attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
  • Digitally Fluent: strong MS Office and AI tool skills; CRM or project management experience is an advantage.
