A leading automotive or haulage company is urgently seeking experienced Class 1 Auto Electricians to join its team. The ideal candidates must have strong experience in vehicle electrical systems and, most importantly, proven Volvo experience.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT

Volvo experience is a MUST. Candidates without Volvo experience may not be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy-duty vehicles and trucks.

Carry out electrical inspections, testing and fault finding.

Install, maintain and repair vehicle wiring and electrical components.

Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.

Work on starting, charging and lighting systems.

Repair and maintain alternators, starters, batteries and related components.

Troubleshoot electrical and electronic vehicle systems.

Carry out preventive maintenance on vehicle electrical systems.

Read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.

Ensure repairs are completed safely and according to required standards.

Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance work.

Work closely with mechanical technicians and workshop personnel.

Ensure vehicles are returned to service in safe working condition.

Qualifications and Experience

Class 1 Auto Electrician qualification/trade certificate.

Proven experience as an Auto Electrician.

Previous Volvo experience is a MUST.

Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.

Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.

Ability to diagnose electrical faults accurately.

Experience in the automotive industry is essential.

Ability to use vehicle diagnostic equipment.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.

Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
